Caño Negro

Caño Negro is one of the most amazing trips for incredible bird watching, if you come during dry season. You will also have the opportunity to see some Costa Rica´s wildlife. On our way you will learn about agriculture plantations such as yuca, papaya, pineapple, sugar cane and oranges. Right before the ride boat on the waters of río Frío, we will stop at a restaurant to grab a snack and drink. On the 2.5 hours journey we will see egrets, herons, monkeys, caimans, iguanas, bats and great variety of flora. This tour goes from 7:30am to 4:00pm.

Combination Tour

In one day, you can get the most out of your visit to Arenal volcano area. Walk two miles through primary rain forest using Hanging Bridges. After a hike to get to La Fortuna Waterfall bottom take a refreshing swimming and a delicious lunch afterwards. Then hike on old lava flows from 1968 eruption and learn all about the majestic volcano. As an optional item you can even visit a hot springs spa and have dinner in the place. This tour goes from 8:00am to 6:00pm and/or 9:30 pm if you take the hot springs option.

Mini combo tour: Arenal Volcano + Waterfall + Lunch

This tour offers an unforgettable hiking experience through trails marked with the remains of previous lava flows of the impressive and majestic Arenal Volcano. Along the hike you will discover the abundant flora and some fauna which inhabits a rainforest under re-generation; your guide will tell you all about the Arenal Volcano history and activity. Later we will visit La Fortuna Waterfall a beautiful place with a lot of vegetation around it (500 steps with some resting areas); you might swim on its cool pristine waters and once we get back, we will take lunch at a nearby restaurant.

Mini combo tour: Hanging Bridges + Waterfall + Lunch

First, we visit a rain forest with hanging bridges at different heights where we will go for a 2 miles hike and with some luck, we will be able to see: howler monkeys, spider monkeys, white faced cappuccino monkeys, lots of birds, snakes, armadillos, coatis, and other animals. Then we will continue our journey to La Fortuna Waterfall a beautiful place with a lot of vegetation around it (500 steps with some resting areas); you might swim on its cool pristine waters and once we get back, we will take lunch at a nearby restaurant.

Río Celeste Hike

This hike combines natures beauty and allows you to observe wonderful flora and fauna. Hike at Tenorio Volcano National Park, pass by the Celeste River Lagoon and walk along two crystal clear streams which come together to form “Río Celeste”; where the clear water mysteriously changes into a beautiful bright, light-blue color (hence the name “Light-Blue-River”). Visit an area where volcanic smoke is expelled at high temperatures from the ground at the at the bottom of the river, creating Sulphur bubbles. The stunning colored Rio Celeste Waterfall offers an amazing view. The tour includes lunch, transportation, entrance fee, guide and water.

Canopy Tour

Come an enjoy hanging from the trees over cables. Costa Rica is well known over the world for this activity. The Canopy company offers your 13 cables and 15 platforms (most of them are huge healthy trees). You might want to include Tarzan Swing, which consists of swinging from a platform, making a swing inside the forest where you can reach up to 38 meters high tied to safety ropes (this activity has an additional cost). The entire journey takes approximately 2 hours; you will find adventures and amazing views of the volcano and surrounding nature.

Sky Tram

This tour consists of an aerial tramway tour, guided by a naturalist expert, which allows you to explore the top of the rainforest, enjoy panoramic views, observe Lake Arenal and the volcano. The Sky Tram gondolas are designed for comfort and safety with a low impact on the ecosystem. The journey, about 40 minutes, is a smooth trip to the top of the mountain, pleasant for those who like nature.

Venado Caves

Underground trails will lead us through grottos and chambers, a labyrinth of ancient underground rivers and seabed’s. Exploring a world indifferent to light, we will enter the caves passing through rock formations as stalactites end stalagmites; exposed now after thousands of millions of years. A great colony of bats inhabits the caves, as well as spiders and crabs. This is a unique experience where you will get wet and dirty but see a different world that will astound you with a variety of emotions.

Safari float by raft or kayak

Floating on our inflatable rafts you will ride the quiet waters of Peñas Blancas river. Our tour guide will provide a safe environment and point out the beautiful flora and fauna; like sloths, monkeys, toucans, crocodiles, Jesus Christ Lizards, colorful tropical birds and turtles. Leaving the river, we will enjoy a short garden tour where we will learn about coffee, chocolate and sugar cane, as well as the importance of these crops for our country. After all we offer you a typical snack and tasting of the final product obtained from those plants.

White Water Rafting Class III & IV
